The Safe-Xtract kits include some specialized components that you should get training on. If you have not been through a Safe-Xtract training course, we highly recommend that you add this to your order. Adding training at the time of purchasing the kit applies a discount of $50 from the cost of the training.

Once training is purchased, an instructor (through our partner training company ETS Consulting) will reach out to you to schedule your training. Training typically takes place in New Mexico and is a full-day class. This cost does not include food or lodging–these are too variable to predict.

The Safe-Xtract MX/TX (Momentum Extraction/Traction Extraction) Pack is the result of years of collaboration with SOCOM and the ground mobility program that has optimized the kit component inventory necessary in order to meet the most demanding requirements imaginable.

The Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery System and Safe-Xtract Components are designed as an integrated recovery system. These comprehensive vehicle recovery kits were developed for increased recovery safety and are based on the winch capacity of the platform.

Safe-Xtract’s MX/TX kit is based upon years of innovative engineering design. They are especially suited for outfitting vehicles with all equipment necessary for basic recovery. Every component is designed using the highest standard of performance, safety, and utility. All components are Berry Amendment/Buy American Act/Country Of Origin Act Compliant; everything is Made in the USA with US materials.

Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery

The kit facilitates recovery techniques that do not require a winch–namely a momentum method using a kinetic energy rope, or a traction method (by linking two vehicles together).  All these capabilities can be performed with each of the kits and the size of the kit determines what size vehicle can be assisted. This is the absolute minimum recommended recovery equipment within the Safe-Xtract Recovery System.

It is important to note that you WILL NOT be able to complete a single line pull (or double line pull) with the MX/TX Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Kits. If a single line pull (or double line pull) is one of your preferred primary vehicle recovery configurations, you should purchase one of the complete (or “Xtreme”) Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Kits.

Which of the Safe-Xtract MX/TX Packs is Right For Me?

There are four Safe-Xtract System Kits available and each one has different recovery gear and kit components based on the projected working load limits.

SX-8000 Kit

The SX-8000 Kit is best for ATVs and Side-by-Sides. It includes:

  • (2) SX-8000C: 2″ x 10′ Tree Saver
  • (1) SX-8000D: 1/2″ x 20′ Kinetic Recovery Rope
  • (4) SX-8000E: 1/4″ x 10″ Soft Shackle
  • (1) SX-8000I: Small Gear Bag

SX-10000 Kit

The SX-8000 Kit is best for passenger vehicles. It includes:

  • (2) SX-8000C: 2″ x 10′ Tree Saver
  • (1) SX-10000D: 3/4″ x 20′ Kinetic Recovery Rope
  • (4) SX-10000E: 5/16″ x 10″ Soft Shackle

The SX-20000 Kit is the most common kit and likely the one you are looking for unless you have specialized needs. It is appropriate for most light and medium-duty vehicles. It includes:

The SX-30000 Kit is the best for full-size heavy-duty vehicles. It includes:
